Hey! Here's another (long overdue) weekend series i had with my kids. Last February 17, 2019 on a fine sunny weekend we were out and about again for some funaway and i decided to visit Marian Orchard at Balete Batangas after church. Sometimes, thinking about where to bring the kids is a struggle. As much as possible, despite the fact that going out these days is very costly, i want them to explore outside. It is my way of controlling their screentime by encouraging them to enjoy the outdoors, play in the grounds, appreciate nature, interact with people, walk and become active, and create memories.
As promised, here's the second installment of our Weekend Series #2!
Do you know that there's a place where Christmas is celebrated the whole year? And i love it how cute and artsy every corner of this house is. The Ginger Bread House located at Alfonso, Cavite is a place where you can feed your senses with Christmas vibes all year round. The chilly weather of Tagaytay makes you want to embrace the coolness of December anytime of the year. The colorful surroundings is already a feast for the eyes. The smell of freshly baked breads will make you crave for some. And their delectable food served inside the Ginger Bread House itself is but a treat for the growling tummies!
Some days are simply meant for playing. Being a child once in my life, i can say that I'd never live a day or week without experiencing play. I have gathered the most wonderful and happiest throwbacks in my memory bank from playtime. And even if I'm already a mom- having three wonderful kids around, i still love the idea of play. Like the saying goes, "we do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing". And i couldn't agree more! I'm always a kid at heart, specially when i have the kids in tow.
It's the time of the year again when bunnies will be out to scatter Easter eggs and lets you find where the golden one is. Still, i honestly do not know what's the connection between Easter eggs, the Lent and the Bunny. (Too busy to do some research about it, hahaha!) But i am in the look out for some fun activities for my kids this year to celebrate Easter Sunday!
It's been a while since we last joined an Easter egg-hunting activity and i thought of gathering here some awesome Easter egg hunting destinations or events which i have found around the area and South of Manila. You may want to check this out and decide where to bring your family to celebrate the Easter.
VISTA MALL STA. ROSA
Good news, Southerners! Finally, the long wait is over! LANDERS SUPESTORE Alabang Branch has opened its doors last March 14, 2018. I know this superstore is going to be your new favorite shopping hub for anything nice and fancy for your home, kitchen, pantry and even your daily shopping and lifestyle needs!
I guess the love month just slipped through the 365 pages of my 2018. I wasn't able to feel the valentines! Speaking of valentines, just like chocolates, flowers and cakes, life is still and will always be sweet specially when I'm with my kids.
Thanks to the long weekend! My son's long overdue birthday wish to visit The Mind Museum has finally granted along with the Dino Play experience! It was actually my kids' first ever visit to The Mind Museum, because i really doesn't find it fun for myself (forgive me please, hahaha!) so i always end up ignoring their request, not until i heard about the Dino Play (at a limited time only) and it was so timely that i chanced upon a promo at Metrodeal for a bundle perfect for my family at a really reasonable price so i grabbed it right away! Also, if not for my son's fascination about dinosaurs, this weekend trip with their cousins would've not been possible. So, as a self-proclaimed good mom who keeps her promises, there we go!
I'm always fascinated by farm lands, organic crops and fruit bearing trees... Blooming colourful flowers in the garden gives me immeasurable happiness. Those are just few of the things that I wanted to achieve before my golden years- to spend my aging days gracefully. Days where fresh and organic fruits and vegetables that are usually hand-picked from the backyards maybe gone and obsolete for some, but for me, it should never go out of style. I, for one, is an advocate of wellness and I am more than willing to pursue this in the next few years of my life.
Just recently, I was blessed to have a fine-dining
experience where all the ingredients for the 4-course meal I had, with my sister and a friend, were
all organic and freshly picked from the gardens of Hacienda San Benito.
Nothing beats the experience of having a healthy meal specially prepared
by British Chef Teresa Lobb.
“Terrazas de Barako” is the fine-dining
arm of Hacienda San Benito in Lipa City. The restaurant takes pride in
its ever-changing menu which is always inspired by San Benito’s own
fresh produce.
