Summer Bump Style

Thanks goodness! Summer school break was extended up to the last week of June and it means more time with the kids and the family. We welcomed the month with a short getaway to the islands of Boracay and it has been a relief seeing a new place, having some dose of vitamin sea, while enjoying it with a group of happy people. Talking about summer and my pregnancy journey, one of the perks of having a baby bump over this season is dressing up and flaunting that belly without any hesitation. I love it more that i can show off my big belly rather than flaunting a flat tummy or bikini body.

It was a good timing to have this baby bump too, to style with and so i thought of creating a preggy summer outfit for the season which is comfortable, chic and confident for me. I got a pretty light weight pair of maxi skirt and crop top from one of my occasional visits to the mall and i thought its a perfect wardrobe to wear on the beach while island hopping.

I honestly don't feel like swimming with my condition. I was restrained to engage into strenuous activities and i felt like all i can do is to take pictures and be the subject while the rest of the group went snorkeling, parasailing and helmet diving.

I was actually having some second thoughts if i'm gonna wear the dress because of the color combo which  is black and white in stripes pattern- it doesn't really feel and look like a color of summer, but the cut and the style to me seems to be a perfect outfit for a white beach escape so i thought of getting it anyway.

I love that the top has a balanced cut which is not too revealing, while the maxi skirt gave me a full cover from the hips to the bottom showing off just that portion of my belly and i think it coordinates perfectly with the size of my bump. The garterized top was not too tight nor too loose. It was stretchy and soft and comfy to wear. The over all feel of this pair is really comfy, light weight and most of all breathable!

Now, what do you think about this summer bump style?
I "hope" i can share more of my preggy outfits in the next blog post. I have already promised quite a few articles about my pregnancy journey but still, everything is on my drafts and i apologize for missing in action!

Thank you for visiting!
