Avida X Make It Blissful: A Glimpse of Southern Living

04:49

I was born and raised in the South (Batangas, specifically) and i must admit that i never regret any single day of my life living it here, in the province, where lush greenery, chilly fresh air, the farm to table kind of food (organic and fresh), awesome scenery and beautiful beaches still exist. Ofcourse, the noise and traffic of the metro and the posh shopping malls of Manila where i can get to shop my favorites is still another story to tell. But I love the South. I grew up here, i love its peacefulness and simplicity. And i will never trade Southern Living for anything else fancy and chaotic.

Talking about the South, just a few weeks ago, i was one lucky Southern Bella who was invited to join the Make it Blissful Home Gathering Workshop spearheaded by Avida Land and Martine De Luna of makeitblissful.com. Yes, you heard it right. It's Martine! One of the most influential, award-winning, inspirational blogger that i look up to and i knew right from the start that i never want to let this one pass!

Blissful morning with Martine De Luna
Our lifestyle tour started with a breakfast for champions at Early Bird Breakfast Club, one of my favorite resto in Manila, and i was just glad that it is now here in the South.

Gathered in one table, together with Martine, each and everyone was able to introduce themselves and get to know each other well while enjoying chef's special.

After breakfast, we were taken to Craft Coffee Revolution to taste and appreciate 3rd Wave Coffee. The Barista showed us how to do slow traditional brewing using the finest and fresh coffee beans from farm to cup.

We were also treated to a cup of their recommended home brewed coffees, hot and iced cold beverages and best-selling pastries like the Choco Lava and Frozen Brazo that are really really good! It was quite an experience too, to witness how art is being poured over a cup of coffee.

For lunch, House of Bawai welcomed us with warm compliments of their Vietnamese spring rolls, and authentic noodle soups that are just perfect combo for a stormy and chilly weather. We truly enjoyed the different cuisines at the notable Solenad 3, NUVALI restaurants- it was truly satisfying and energizing.

For a more holistic experience of the southern lifestyle, we spent the afternoon with a relaxing stroll around the eco-city of NUVALI.

Riding a van, we went sightseeing around different schools, and outdoor recreational facilities that were not only accessible, but also catered to the different needs of the NUVALI homeowners whether they were single millennials or growing families.

We also had a glimpse of some of the well-known enjoyable destinations for weekend group trips, including Camp N and Republic Wakepark despite the rain. All these and the scenic views and open spaces found within NUVALI showcased the laid-back and peaceful lifestyle that the south has to offer. Seeing all these, now i have more than enough phletora of reasons why one should consider living in the South, everything is just here!

More than that, anyone can find a suitable house for themselves at Avida's residential communities within the master planned community of NUVALI: Avida Southfiled Settings and Hillcrest Estates. The thoughtfully designed units, ranging from 52 to 129 square meters in floor space, feature efficient layout for maximum use of space, natural ventilation and sunlight, and are surrounded by lush greenery and breath-taking views.

The community's amenities, specifically designed to encourage interaction and healthy lifestyle among homeowners, include swimming pools, a basketball court, a playground and parks.

And speaking about the home, Avida Land encourages all-around women to create meaningful celebrations at home through which the highlight of this lifestyle tour is Martine De Luna's Make It Blissful Workshop.

After the short sightseeing tour we gathered at Avida's showroom to learn the Art of Table Setting.

Sisters, Step and Lady of Bouqueria Lifestyle Market taught us the basics of how you can make family home gatherings simple yet elegant, by adding pop of colors and personal touches that doesn't have to be expensive.

We were also given the chance to set up our own tables by utilizing what is available and unleashing our inner creativity. Our team won the table setting challenge with a botanical theme set-up. Hooray!

"Avida's thoughtfully designed properties are conducive for creating every day celebrations, and thus lets families fully enjoy their home which can be overlooked when you lead a busy life in the city," says Tess Tatco, Avida Land Marketing Head.

Coffee treats and some sweet snacks from Shophouse Coffee Co. complimented our afternoon workshop!
To wrap it up, each and everyone of us went home inspired with knowledge and useful ideas to fully maximize our living space and to create meaningful celebrations at the comfort of our homes. It was indeed a well spent blissful weekend!
