When in Batangas: Casa Marikit Ristorante Italiano

When you say Batangas, perhaps, the first thing that comes to mind is Kapeng Barako and the beautiful beaches. But don't you know that there's something Italian too in this southern most part of the region? Yes, we have Italian and Japanese raving the food market in the province today. Why not? Another reason for us to be proud and to love our local enterprises. And another basis for me to stay and enjoy the simple and quiet rural living in the province. I hope my dear Batangas will stay this way, a progressive and peaceful place to dwell in.

Speaking of  Italian, which i have mentioned earlier, Casa Marikit Ristorante Italiano at the heart of Lipa City, Batangas is gaining popularity from the locals and travelers, with its promise of authentic Italian dishes. I convinced my family to give it a try in celebration of my Dad and Mom's wedding anniversary, so off we went to Lipa City despite the rainy evening.

I love their complimentary basket of bread with basil and tomatoes...
I'm not really a fan of Italian food, except for pastas. But this one has made a remarkable impression with its fine dining facility, a well-designed interiors and an array of delectable Italian cuisines.

Everything that we had were very satisfying and delicious. From the plating and serving of each menu, i have nothing but good words to say, except that the pork thing we ordered (sorry, i really forgot the name) was chewy and rarely cooked. Still, they nailed it to the list of the top restaurants here in Batangas. It was like dining in some place far away from the province. Why visit Manila when there's something new and worthwhile to try here in Batangas anyway?

What's more inviting about this place was the interiors. It has a nostalgic feel and i so love the wall mosaic which can be found at the walls of their wash area just outside their comfort rooms.

Even their toilets are nice, it doesn't look like a comfort room at all, i can sleep here!

And as i look around, all i can see are meticulously picked pieces of arts, decorations and fixtures- all beautiful, enticing and appealing to my sight.

Overall, it was a good experience, the food is great and the ambiance is just so warm and family friendly. I haven't checked their patio outside because of the heavy rainfall, so most of my photos were just taken inside. It's quite pricey though, but for the taste and serving size, its fair enough to just say that it's reasonable. My family enjoyed a sumptuous dinner with commendable service from their friendly staffs.
