Summer Staycation at Acacia Hotel Manila

Our summer staycation for this year officially kicks off at Acacia Hotel Manila. If you'll notice, i am becoming obsessed with hotels. One of my goals is to at least visit 1,000 hotels before i die. How possible?! I may sound funny but hotel gives me feeling of home less the chores. Thanks to the the widespread buying site subscriptions we had today, scoring promos and discounts are just a click away!

I got a deal at Acacia Hotel Manila for an overnight stay with breakfast, so hubby and i planned a quick honeymoon staycation one summer weekend. First goal was to watch the Pyromusical Show at Mall of Asia, then have some relaxing stay at Alabang. But since we were caught up with a hellish traffic from Magallanes, we weren't able to make it on time for the finale of the show. We ended up meeting with some friends for coffee, then head back to Filinvest late that night. The traffic may have spoiled our night away but we still got the next day to enjoy, so that's fine, as long as we're together. Ang cheessy!

Acacia Hotel is located at the corners of Commerce Avenue at Filinvest Corporate City, Ayala, Alabang. If you're a Southern dweller, i'm sure you are very much familiar with its location because it is just along the side of the main road.

First, i love the name of this hotel which was derived from our very own Acacia tree. It is purely Filipino and i love the earthly theme and colors of their lobby and the entire interiors. The scattered cushioned chairs are so pretty!

With less than 2 years of operation from the date of it's opening in 2011, it was ranked Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the Philippines by TripAdvisor in the 2013 Travelers’ Choice Awards. It's a 5 star luxury hotel with world-class facilities.

Our room is very comfortable and spacious with a bright view of  Alabang City skyline. The bed is soft and linens are clean.

We had complete amenities but plus point for me was the flat iron. There are hotels who doesn't have a flat iron readily available inside the room.

Our bathroom was also spacious and clean with all the necessary toiletries that every guests needs. I love the bath tub and the modern shower enclosure of the bathroom that makes me want to stay longer in the shower after soaking myself in the tub.

We ordered foods for midnight snacks from their pantry and it was smooth and fast. Food was good and the price is just okay compared to other hotels except the wines, ofcourse. Glad that my husband bought one from a convenient store earlier that day.

The next morning was Palm Sunday and we were surprised with quite a number of guests dining in at the Acaci, the hotel's restaurant. The buffet breakfast was great combined with a charming view of the city. The soaring floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the restaurant offers an undisturbed view of the bustling street. I wasn't able to take much photos because of the crowd but they had an array of food, fruits, breads and other Asian cuisines. I was so hungry that morning that i really fueled myself with a power meal.

We checked their pool after breakfast, located the 3rd floor of the hotel overlooking Commerce Avenue with a backdrop of the bustling city.

We didn't swim, because we were too lazy to change clothes. We rarely swim in hotels, unless the pool is really big and if the kids are with us. Sadly, it was just the two us and i deemed it as boring. I didn't bring any swimwear, by the way. Hahaha!

On the same floor at another side was the Samanea Garden. It is Acacia's modernized garden that used to be a venue for some gatherings, wedding proposals and intimate dinners. The flooring looks like a real grass, but its not, artificial it is. The ambiance and air is different in this side of the hotel. I find it perfect for evening musings because it was quiet and peaceful combined with a cool summer breeze.

Check in and check out was a breeze. Their staffs were friendly and accommodating. We do had a wonderful stay at Acacia Hotel and i plan to book it again with the kids. Acacia Hotel is highly recommendable for travelers, business, and families. The location in a highly urbanized area is excellent, just a tumbling away from Festival Mall and other shopping areas. Food establishments are just around, and walking distance. Taxi and other public transportation is available anytime. Good service and luxurious rooms, and value for money on a five-star accommodation.
